Hnb Pelotonia Shoot 9.18.2026

Consider each shoot to be like a story. The story of this event this year was fuller than in years past. This year, we remembered our lost HNB colleague Jeff Chesney as we helped raise money to fight cancer in the event he created. The sky cried for the first year anyone remembered as we paid homage to him amid emblems created by his family, a lovely speech by his daughter and shot pigeons next to a white oak erected on the course in his honor. Because of the rain, it was darker than usual and some teams were forced to pursue creative solutions in attempts to preserve their shooting numbers. Arista with Jake Laska was a predictable front-runner, as were Misty and Louise (destined to go head to head next year). Over $450 million was raised to support cancer and while the day started grim, the spirits ended high and there was no question it was a success. This was shot on a Leica SL2 with a 23-70mm lens. I was forced to shoot at 1600 ISO due to the low lighting, resulting in grainer shots than I usually prefer.
