This was another pandemic photo challenge prompt. I had a lot of fun with this one. I knew I wanted to play with the idea of being serious about something we don't normally think of seriously, so immediately the idea occurred to me of someone who takes a game too seriously. Then I was like, 'how do you portray that?' and settled on the idea of implying the threat of capital punishment along with presenting playing a game, to imply that punishment was forthcoming if the game did not follow a certain expectation. That felt like it was taking things pretty seriously to me.
