The End of the World is a famous trail on the big island that runs through the lava fields above the shoreline. It's a short trail but holds a lot of historical significance as it was the site of one of the last big battle on the island where Kamemeheha won and was able to begin unifying Hawaii. We also visited a major battle site of his on Oahu but it was less picturesque; he marched an army against another at the top of a mountain and pushed his foes over the cliff to achieve victory. Also, he's known for picking up a giant rock.
